100 mins, 1 frame: Allen, Yize set Crucible record...
Mark Allen and Wu Yize set a new World Snooker Championship record at the Crucible, completing the longest single frame in the tournament's history at one hour and 40 minutes during their second-round match. The extraordinary 14th frame featured eight reds jammed around a black near a pocket, leading to a prolonged stalemate in which no ball was potted for an extended period, with referee Marcel Eckardt urging the crowd to settle before Allen eventually fouled the black. The session ended with the pair level at 7-7 overnight, after Allen had recovered from a 6-2 deficit.
