2026 Asian Games: Tom Kim leads men's golf event seeking win to secure military service exemption

Tom Kim leads the men's golf event at the 2026 Asian Games after shooting a five-under 65 in the third round, which included five birdies and an eagle, putting him at 12 under par and one stroke clear of the field. He began the round two shots off the lead but surged ahead ahead of the final round. A gold medal would earn Kim a military service exemption, a significant incentive for South Korean athletes under the country's mandatory conscription laws.
