Joshua Báez made MLB history on Saturday by hitting three home runs in his first three at-bats during his Major League debut, becoming the first player ever to accomplish the feat. The St. Louis Cardinals prospect, rated the organization's No. 3 prospect by MLB Pipeline, went 3-for-4 with five RBIs to power the Cardinals to an 8-4 victory over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. Báez homered on the very first pitch he saw in the Majors, then continued his historic performance in his second and third at-bats of the game.
