3 questions facing Anaheim Ducks
The Anaheim Ducks face key offseason questions after matching a five-year, $90 million offer sheet for forward Leo Carlsson, originally submitted by the Philadelphia Flyers on July 3 and matched by Anaheim on July 9. The $18 million annual cap hit complicates efforts to also sign restricted free agent Cutter Gauthier, 22, who led the team with 41 goals and 69 points last season. General manager Pat Verbeek acknowledged the cap constraints but expressed confidence in finding solutions, stating he has two-and-a-half months to fit the contracts together.
