59 DI women's hockey players selected in 2026 PWHL draft
The Professional Women's Hockey League held its 2026 entry draft on Wednesday, selecting 59 former NCAA Division I women's hockey players, who made up 82% of all picks in a draft that included four new PWHL expansion franchises. Penn State led all schools with seven draft picks, following their first Women's Frozen Four appearance in 2026, while Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Cornell each contributed five picks apiece. Cornell was notably the only school with four or more draft picks that did not qualify for the 2026 NCAA tournament.
