7 stats and facts to know from Joshua Báez's debut for the ages

Joshua Báez made MLB history on August 15, 2026, becoming the first player in MLB history (out of more than 23,000) to hit three home runs in his debut, doing so at Wrigley Field with his family in attendance. He homered in each of his first three career at-bats, with his first home run traveling 449 feet on the very first pitch he saw. Báez is also the first player ever to homer in his first three career at-bats, surpassing the previous record of two consecutive debut home runs shared by Bob Nieman (1951) and Keith McDonald (2000).
