8-year Cowboys team leader retires after 12 NFL seasons
C.J. Goodwin, a 36-year-old cornerback and special teams ace, has announced his retirement after 12 NFL seasons, eight of which were spent with the Dallas Cowboys. Goodwin made the announcement during his ninth annual PEGA Foundation All-Star sports camp, speaking to Rob Metzger of WTOV9 news. Despite rarely playing on defense, Goodwin built a reputation as one of the Cowboys' most consistent special teams contributors and leaders.
