98-strong British team picked for European Champs in Birmingham

A 98-strong Great Britain and Northern Ireland athletics squad has been selected for the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham, running from August 10-16 at Alexander Stadium. Reigning European champions Keely Hodgkinson and Dina Asher-Smith headline the team, while hometown hero Matthew Hudson-Smith, a four-time European champion, will compete in the 400m. Notable absentee Josh Kerr has not been selected, while Georgia Hunter Bell, Laura Muir, and Charlie Dobson are among the other key names included.
