The 2026 NBA playoffs became only the third postseason in league history to feature two 3-1 comeback victories in the same round, following the 2016 playoffs. The Philadelphia 76ers and Detroit Pistons both completed 3-1 comebacks during the first round, joining a list of 15 such instances total in NBA playoff history. The first-ever 3-1 comeback in NBA playoff history was achieved by Bill Russell's Boston Celtics against Wilt Chamberlain's Philadelphia 76ers in the 1968 Eastern Division Finals.
