A New Haven boxing legend could soon have a street corner in his name

New Haven is moving to honor the late boxing coach Brian Clark, who passed away in January, by naming a street corner after him. Clark owned and operated Ring One Boxing gym on Congress Avenue since the 1990s, providing free or low-cost training to hundreds of public school students. A proposal has been put forward to designate a street corner in the Hill neighborhood in his memory, recognizing his decades of service as a coach, Navy veteran, and community advocate.
