Adam Yates: Injured British cyclist out of Giro d'Italia after 30-rider crash

British cyclist Adam Yates, 33, has been withdrawn from the Giro d'Italia after suffering concussion in a large crash involving approximately 30 riders on a wet descent during Saturday's stage to Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. Despite finishing the stage, Yates lost 14 minutes to the race leaders and was deemed unfit to continue. Two of his UAE Team Emirates-XRG teammates also suffered fractures and were hospitalised as a result of the crash.
