AFC Wimbledon: Ex-Chelsea defender Ryan Bertrand part of £87m investment deal

Former England and Chelsea defender Ryan Bertrand is leading a consortium that has proposed an £87m minority investment deal in League One club AFC Wimbledon. Bertrand, who made 19 international appearances for England and played for clubs including Chelsea, Southampton, Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest, is fronting the group alongside British technology expert Omar Mir, who is described as the sole funder of the proposed minority share buyout.
