African Athletics Championships 2026: Emmanuel Eseme at the double for Cameroon by claiming first continental title in men's 100m

Emmanuel Eseme of Cameroon won the men's 100m at the African Athletics Championships 2026 in Accra on 13 May, clocking 10.25 seconds to claim his first continental title. The 32-year-old completed a sprint double for Cameroon alongside Hervérge Kole Etame, who won the women's 100m. South Africa's Bradley Nkoana took silver in 10.311 and Nigeria's Chidera Ezeakor claimed bronze in 10.318 after a photo finish.
