Nigeria won six medals on Day 2 of the African Athletics Championships 2026 in Accra, Ghana on 13 May. World record holder Tobi Amusan claimed gold in the women's 100m hurdles in 12.83 seconds, securing her third consecutive African title, while compatriots added medals in the 100m sprints. South African Olympic silver medallist Luvo Manyonga continued his comeback by winning gold in the men's long jump.
