Alabama EMA conducts stakeholder meetings

The Alabama Emergency Management Agency held two days of stakeholder meetings this week, covering training on the state's Safer Places Act guidelines for severe weather sheltering and the Local Emergency Planning Committee program at Wednesday's Division E meeting in Muscle Shoals. On Thursday, AEMA IT and communications staff trained partners on a new software interface designed to improve communication and information sharing during disaster response. These divisional meetings are held quarterly across all Alabama EMA divisions to promote preparedness and resilience.
