Alabama softball eliminated in crushing WCWS defeat to Texas Tech: Highlights
Top-seeded Alabama softball (56-9) was eliminated from the Women's College World Series on June 1 in Oklahoma City, losing twice to No. 11 seed Texas Tech (60-8) in the semifinals. The Crimson Tide lost Game 1 5-4 on a walk-off home run by Mia Williams in the seventh inning, then were shut out 2-0 in the decisive game, with Texas Tech ace NiJaree Canady delivering a two-hit performance. A leadoff home run by Jasmyn Burns in the fourth inning proved to be all Texas Tech needed to advance to the WCWS finals.
