Alabama softball shuts out Belmont, advances to Tuscaloosa Regional championship

Alabama softball, the No. 1 overall seed with a 51-7 record, defeated Belmont 3-0 on Saturday, May 17, in the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional at Rhoads Stadium. The Crimson Tide scored all three runs in the first inning and recorded their second consecutive shutout, having previously beaten SC Upstate 8-0 via run rule in five innings. Alabama advances to the Tuscaloosa Regional championship game, scheduled for noon CT on Sunday, May 18.
