Alabama softball wins Tuscaloosa Regional behind Vic Moten pitching gem

Alabama softball, the No. 1 overall seed, won the Tuscaloosa Regional championship on Sunday, May 17, defeating SC Upstate 9-0 at Rhoads Stadium to earn a super regional berth. Vic Moten delivered a standout pitching performance, while Jena Young hit two 2-run home runs and the Crimson Tide hit four total home runs in the championship game. Alabama will host the super regional next week against the winner of LSU vs. Virginia Tech from the Baton Rouge Regional.
