Alex Eala, Coco Gauff and Naomi Osaka safely through to Canadian Open 2026 fourth round

Alexandra Eala of the Philippines advanced to the round of 16 at the 2026 Canadian Open on August 7, defeating unseeded Caty McNally 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 in three sets. The world No. 20 extended her winning streak to seven matches and will next face Olympic gold medallist Belinda Bencic. Coco Gauff and Naomi Osaka also progressed to the fourth round of the tournament.
