Alexander Volkanovski wants 'super fight' that ends in two retirements after UFC 333 title defense

Alexander Volkanovski, the UFC featherweight champion, will defend his belt against undefeated contender Movsar Evloev (20-0) at UFC 333 on October 24. The 38-year-old Australian is targeting a third shot at the lightweight title, this time against new 155lb champion Justin Gaethje, who stopped Ilia Topuria at UFC Freedom 250 in June 2026. Volkanovski envisions a 'super fight' with Gaethje that would serve as a retirement bout for both fighters, having previously fallen short against Islam Makhachev for the lightweight title in 2023 and 2024.
