Alpine wins bid to have Monaco result reviewed

Alpine has won the right to have Pierre Gasly's Monaco Grand Prix penalties reviewed after it was revealed that Formula 1 used an inaccurate pitlane distance to calculate car speeds. Gasly had finished third on the road but was dropped to seventh following two five-second penalties for exceeding the pitlane speed limit by just 0.1 and 0.4 km/h. A right of review hearing on Thursday, June 11, 2026, accepted Alpine's evidence that Formula One Management provided inaccurate distance data which overestimated Gasly's speed, leading to an immediate second hearing in Spain to review the penalties.
