Alvarez dominates Mbilli to reclaim WBC super middleweight title

Canelo Alvarez (64-3-2, 39 KOs) reclaimed the WBC super middleweight championship on Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, defeating Christian Mbilli via unanimous decision with scorecards of 117-110, 116-111, and 115-112. The fight marked Alvarez's return after more than a year away from the ring, elbow surgery, and a loss to Terence Crawford in September 2025. The 36-year-old Mexican dominated the undefeated Mbilli across all 12 rounds, describing his own performance as 'perfect' and expressing deep emotion at reclaiming the 168-pound belt.
