Amazon founder Jeff Bezos in talks to join consortium seeking 30% stake in Liverpool

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, worth approximately $257bn and ranked the fourth richest person in the world by Forbes, has held talks about joining a consortium led by former QPR co-owner Amit Bhatia. The group has made a provisional offer of £1.35bn to acquire around 30% of Liverpool FC from Fenway Sports Group (FSG). Bezos has previously explored purchasing NFL franchises before showing interest in this football investment.
