Andy Reid: Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes fully cleared for training camp participation

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has received full medical clearance to participate in training camp, head coach Andy Reid announced on July 24, 2026. This comes just over seven months after Mahomes suffered season-ending ACL and LCL tears on December 14. Reid confirmed Mahomes is cleared for all practice periods, though doctors will continue to monitor his progress and response to the workload on a daily basis.
