Apologetic Infantino ‘not fit’ to lead Fifa, claim European FA heads after meeting

European football leaders, including the heads of the English and German Football Associations, have declared Gianni Infantino 'not fit' to lead FIFA following a three-and-a-half-hour executive board meeting. Infantino apologised for failing to consult the 37-strong board over his abandoned World Cup sell-off plan but failed to answer questions on topics including the FIFA Forward Enterprise proposal, Donald Trump's FIFA peace prize, and the Folarin Balogun affair. As a result, European FA heads are increasingly confident they will find a candidate to challenge Infantino in next year's FIFA presidential election.
