Arbeloa charged by FA for for Man Utd remarks
Fulham manager Álvaro Arbeloa has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association after claiming officials would 'not let Manchester United lose' following a 1-1 Premier League draw at Craven Cottage on September 20, in which Matheus Cunha scored a deflected equaliser in the 89th minute. Arbeloa made the remarks in a post-match TV interview, referencing what he saw as biased refereeing in favour of United, and also alluded to the controversial VAR call from the Manchester derby. The FA alleges he 'acted in an improper manner by making comments that imply bias and/or question the integrity of a match official,' and Arbeloa has until Thursday to respond to the charge.
