Arbeloa: I won't burn Madrid players at the stake

Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa defended Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni after the pair were each fined €500,000 following a training ground altercation at Valdebebas, in which Valverde suffered a head injury requiring hospital treatment. Arbeloa confirmed that Tchouaméni has returned to training and will be available for Sunday's Clásico against Barcelona, a match in which leaders Barça could clinch the La Liga title. Speaking at a Saturday press conference, Arbeloa said both players expressed regret, accepted consequences, and apologised, adding he would not 'burn his players at the stake.'
