Rugby league legend Kevin Sinfield has been knighted by Prince William in recognition of his extraordinary charity fundraising efforts. Sinfield raised £13 million for motor neurone disease (MND) research and awareness in honour of his former Leeds Rhinos team-mate Rob Burrow, who suffered from the condition. The knighthood recognises both his sporting achievements and his significant contribution to MND campaigning.
