Arise, Sir Kevin: Sinfield knighted in king’s birthday honours list

Kevin Sinfield, 45, has been awarded a knighthood in the King's birthday honours list, becoming only the second rugby league player to receive the honour after Billy Boston was knighted last year. The former rugby league great has raised more than £11 million in memory of his late friend Rob Burrow, who suffered from motor neurone disease (MND). Sinfield has pledged to continue supporting those living with MND following the recognition.
