Arkansas Athletics discontinuing men’s and women’s tennis programs

The University of Arkansas announced it will discontinue both its men's and women's tennis programs at the conclusion of the 2026 spring season. The decision was recommended by Athletics Director Hunter Yurachek and approved by the Chancellor, citing an inability to provide the level of support needed to compete consistently in the SEC and nationally. Current student-athletes will have their scholarships honored through the completion of their degree programs if they choose to remain at the university.
