Arne Slot, 47, has confirmed he held talks over the vacant Netherlands managerial job but withdrew from the process because he wants his next role to be in club football. The Dutchman guided Liverpool to their 20th league title in his debut season before finishing fifth in the Premier League and being sacked on 30 May. The Netherlands vacancy arose after Ronald Koeman stepped down from his second spell as national team manager.
