Arsenal agree £75m fee with Newcastle for Bruno Guimarães as clubs reach compromise

Arsenal have agreed a £75m fee with Newcastle United for Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimarães, with the clubs reaching a compromise after Newcastle rejected an opening offer of £70m on Monday. The 28-year-old Newcastle captain, who has two years remaining on his contract, is set to travel from the club's pre-season training camp in southern Spain to London for a medical in the next couple of days. The deal falls between Arsenal's initial maximum offer of £60m and Newcastle's original asking price of £80m.
