Arsenal confirm Konsa signing from Aston Villa

Arsenal have confirmed the signing of England defender Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa for a fee of approximately £51 million plus £4 million in add-ons, after Villa rejected an initial bid of £30 million earlier in the summer. Konsa will bolster Arsenal's squad as they defend their Premier League title and compete in the Champions League, having reached the final last season before losing to Paris Saint-Germain in May. The defender is ineligible for Arsenal's Premier League opener against Coventry on Friday but could make his debut against former club Villa the following Monday.
