Arsenal's Williamson signs new deal with club

England captain Leah Williamson has signed a new contract with Arsenal, the club confirmed on Thursday. The 29-year-old, who first joined Arsenal's academy in 2006, has made 282 appearances and scored 17 goals for the club, winning every major domestic trophy as well as the Champions League and inaugural Champions Cup. Williamson recently returned from injury sustained during the Euros final, with her comeback coming at a key time as Arsenal prepare for a Champions League semifinal against OL Lyonnes.
