Aryna Sabalenka and Cameron Norrie lose at Canadian Open

World number one Aryna Sabalenka was eliminated in the last 16 of the Canadian Open in Toronto, losing 7-6 (7-3) 4-6 6-4 to Russia's Ekaterina Alexandrova in a match lasting nearly two and a half hours. The defeat comes weeks before Sabalenka is set to defend her US Open title, and marks her failure to reach a final since winning the Miami Open in March. Britain's Cameron Norrie also exited the tournament in the last 16.
