Ashley Young announces retirement at 40

Ashley Young, 40, has announced he will retire at the end of the current season after a 23-year professional career. The winger, who currently plays for Ipswich Town, made 765 club appearances and scored 88 goals across spells at Manchester United, Aston Villa, Inter Milan, and Everton. Young expressed his desire to help Ipswich secure promotion back to the Premier League on the final day of the Championship season on May 2.
