Jamaican sprinter Shanoya Douglas, 18, heads to the World Athletics Under-20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon, USA, as a strong gold medal contender after breaking Jamaica's Under-20 200m record twice in 2025, posting times of 22.11 seconds at the CARIFTA Games and 22.36 at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Championships. At the Jamaican U20 Championships in June, she also clocked 11.08 seconds in the 100m and 22.56 in the 200m, winning gold in both events. Despite feeling her execution was not perfect, Douglas expressed confidence that she has more to show at the upcoming championships.
