Atlanta's Nickeil Alexander-Walker wins the NBA's Most Improved Player award

Nickeil Alexander-Walker of the Atlanta Hawks was voted the NBA's 2026 Most Improved Player on Friday, April 24, beating out finalists Deni Avdija and Jalen Duren. He becomes the second consecutive Hawks player to win the award, following Dyson Daniels who claimed the trophy the previous season. Alexander-Walker described feeling nervous heading into the summer but credited the Hawks organization's support for his career-best statistical season.
