Audi do not have enough budget to upgrade their Formula 1 power unit again in 2026

Audi, one of the Formula 1 power unit manufacturers granted ADUO catch-up upgrades by the FIA, has confirmed it lacks the budget to use its second allocated upgrade in 2026. The team used their first ADUO upgrade at Barcelona, focusing on driveability improvements such as torque delivery and shift quality, as explained by driver Nico Hulkenberg. Audi is permitted two ADUO upgrades in 2026 and two more in 2027, but financial constraints will prevent them from utilizing the remaining 2026 allocation.
