She collapsed on August 1 while preparing for a tournament in Thailand and was rushed to a hospital in Bangkok, where she underwent emergency brain surgery. After spending two weeks in intensive care, she passed away, with the WPGA Tour of Australasia expressing deep sadness at her death.
