Back from the dead? GFL announces first event on Dec. 18 in Argentina

The Global Fight League (GFL) has announced its inaugural MMA event will take place on Friday, December 18, 2026, at the Microestadio Club Atletico Lanús in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The promotion has faced a troubled history marked by multiple failed launches, canceled events, and financial difficulties before reaching this announcement. This will mark the first actual event staged by the GFL if it proceeds as planned.
