Bedard signs 5-year, $75 million contract with Blackhawks

Connor Bedard, 21, has signed a five-year, $75 million contract extension with the Chicago Blackhawks, carrying an average annual value of $15 million. The 2023 No. 1 draft pick and 2024 Calder Trophy winner has recorded 203 points in 219 regular-season games, leading Chicago in points in each of his three seasons. Bedard is set to miss the start of the upcoming season after undergoing surgery on his left shoulder.
