Bednar signs four-year contract with Avalanche, runs through 2030-31

Colorado Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar signed a new four-year contract on Wednesday that runs through the 2030-31 season. The 54-year-old, who was entering the final year of his previous deal signed in March 2023, is beginning his 11th season with Colorado and holds the franchise record with 445 regular-season wins. Bednar led the Avalanche to the Stanley Cup championship in 2022 and is notably the only coach to have won titles in the ECHL, AHL, and NHL.
