Ben James the latest 'young gun' chasing a win at Wyndham Championship

Ben James, 23, shot rounds of 62 and 67 at Sedgefield Country Club to reach 11-under 129 and share the 36-hole lead with England's Jordan Smith at the 2025 Wyndham Championship. The University of Virginia product is among several recently turned professionals attempting to qualify for the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup playoffs. James previously held a 36-hole lead at the RBC Canadian Open but struggled to a third-round 78, and he also finished T-4 at the Corales Puntacana Championship.
