Betfred ends sponsorship of all five British Classics because of Budget

Betfred has announced it is ending its sponsorship of all five British Classic horse races, citing the UK government's Budget as the reason for its decision. The bookmaker stated it had 'no choice' but to withdraw its backing following a tax rise introduced in the Budget. The move marks a significant loss of funding for some of Britain's most prestigious flat racing events.
