Bezos-backed consortium buys a third of Liverpool

Liverpool FC's owners have agreed to sell approximately one-third of the club to a consortium that includes Amazon founder and billionaire Jeff Bezos. The deal values Liverpool at more than £5 billion, making it one of the most significant ownership transactions in football history. The existing owners, Fenway Sports Group, retain the majority stake in the Premier League club.
