Bieniemy's wife allegedly shot by couple's son

Mia Bieniemy, 57, wife of Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, was allegedly shot in the chest and arm by the couple's son, Elijah Zion Bieniemy, 27, at their home in Loudoun County, Virginia on Sunday night. Mia was hospitalized in stable condition on Monday, while Elijah was arrested and charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and discharge of a firearm inside a dwelling, and is being held without bond. Eric Bieniemy left the Chiefs' training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri to be with his family, with head coach Andy Reid expressing support for the coordinator.
