Billy Root retires from professional cricket, aged 34

Billy Root, younger brother of England Test captain Joe Root, has retired from professional cricket at the age of 34 after a 14-year career. Root made seven first-class centuries during his career, with a personal best of 229 against Northamptonshire in 2019. He stated he 'wouldn't change a thing' about his time in the sport.
