Black Knight Rugby completes takeover of Exeter Rugby Group Ltd

Black Knight Rugby, a new subsidiary of Cannae Holdings, Inc., has completed the purchase of 100% of the shares of Exeter Rugby Group Ltd following a member vote approving the sale. Tony Rowe CBE, who provided 25 years of financial support to the club including helping clear a £25 million COVID-19 debt, will continue as CEO and join a new three-person executive board alongside Cannae Holdings vice chairman William P. Foley II and CEO Ryan Caswell. The deal was confirmed on 30 June 2026.
