Boxer Chantelle Cameron: ‘If we want equal rights, equal pay, we can’t be doing two-minute rounds’

Chantelle Cameron, the Northampton boxer and the only woman to have beaten Katie Taylor as a professional, is preparing to defend her WBO world super-welterweight title against WBC belt-holder Mikaela Mayer in a world title unification bout. Cameron is a vocal advocate for women's boxing to adopt three-minute rounds, and last year relinquished her WBC world title after the sanctioning body implied women were not strong enough to fight beyond two-minute rounds. The fight against Mayer is scheduled for the following Saturday and is being touted as a potential fight of the year for women's boxing.
